§ 10-16. Vaults.

  • In order to maintain a high standard of care and to eliminate sunken graves caused by the collapse of wooden or metal boxes, all burials must be made in standard vaults made of concrete or other material approved by the superintendent of cemeteries. Reinforced plastic or combination units may be used for infant interments or cremains only. Vaults are not required for internment of cremains.
