§ 18-2. Statement of purpose.

It is the purpose of this article to significantly reduce hazards to persons and damage to property as a result of flood conditions in the township and to comply with the provisions and requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program, as constituted in accordance with the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968, as amended, and subsequent enactments and all applicable rules and regulations promulgated in the furtherance of this program as they may be further amended by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Insurance Administration (FIA).
